The font engine (opentype.js) did not load, so there is no .otf export or live preview right now. Drawing, autosave, JSON and the SVG sheet still work; reload when you are back online.
Draw a few letters below; the preview rebuilds as you go.

Handwriting Foundry

A tiny type foundry. Draw each letter in its cell, watch the paragraph at the top turn into your handwriting, then press Download .otf and install the file like any other font (double-click it on Windows or macOS). The name you type on the sheet becomes the font family name.

Fill the gaps keeps the font complete while you are still drawing: a missing lowercase letter is borrowed from your uppercase (scaled to x-height) or vice versa, and anything else comes from the built-in sample hand. Jitter alternates adds two subtly wobbled versions of every glyph as OpenType stylistic alternates (feature salt); pick a set with the alternates menu, or in any app that exposes stylistic alternates.

↶ in a cell undoes its last stroke; Ctrl+Z undoes the last stroke you drew anywhere. Export strokes saves your drawing as JSON so you can finish it later or elsewhere; SVG sheet exports every outline as a vector sheet and needs no font engine at all.

Font metrics: 1000 units per em, ascender 800, descender −200, side bearings 55. Outlines are filled with the nonzero rule, so overlapping strokes simply merge. Everything stays in your browser; the only network request is for opentype.js and the blog index.
