Books fall, shelves fill, and a shelf only clears when it is in order.
Bookshelf Tetris
Every falling piece is a book from the catalog, one shelf high and one to three cells wide by size (manga and bunko narrow, art books and textbooks wide). A full shelf clears only when its titles read left to right in shelving order.

The alphabet rule
The pine bookcase is alphabetized by title, ignoring case and accents. One convention is special: titles beginning with "The" are grouped after S and before T, so "The Trial" sits after "Sein und Zeit" and before "Tristram Shandy". "A" and "An" are not moved, so "A History of Japan" files under A. Titles in non-Latin scripts, such as Japanese, come after all Latin titles.
A correctly ordered shelf, drawn with the same spines as the virtual library:
The order comes from Library.titleSortKey in project 1, which rewrites a leading "The " as a prefix that sorts between S and T.
